The following obituary was published in the January 23, 1923 edition of The Daily News, Frederick, Maryland:
Mrs. P. A. Morrison
Succumbing to a strke of apoplexy, Mrs. Lorna Branzell (sic.) Morrison, wife of P.A. Morrison, of Hansonville, died Monday morning at 11:30 o'clock, the thirtieth anniversary of her birth. She was stricken Saturday and her condition became rapidly worse until Monday morning, when the end came.
Mrs. Morrison moved to this county from Pittsburgh, with her husband, two years ago when they purchased a farm at Hansonville, which they have since converted to a poultry farm, known as the Monocacy Poultry Farm. This is one of the best known poultry farms in the county.
Although she has been residing in the county for only about two years, Mrs. Morrison had already become widely acquainted and her sudden death came as a shock to her friends. She visited in Frederick during the past week and seemed in the best of health.
Besides her husband she is survived by two children by a former marriage: Andrew S. Ashcom and Miss Sara A. Ashcom, both at home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. C. C. Carty has charge.
