- According to an Ancestry.com Family Tree profile available in 2014, Ted was a well known professional, commercial/industrial photographer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of the Baltimore Institute of Photography and he studied at the Winona School of Professional Photography and the Triangle Institute in Pittsburgh where he later became a teacher at both schools. His degrees in photography were Master, Craftsman, CPP and Certified Judge. Ted was Manager of photographic services at PPG Industries, Inc. His photos won numerous awards. One was selected by Kodak for display at Epcot Center at Disney World.
The following obituary was published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on May 22, 2003:
TRIMBUR
THEODORE "TED"
M. Photog., Cr., CPP, Pittsburgh's well known Professional, Commercial/Industrial photographer dies at age 77 on May 14, 2003. Ted was a graduate of the Balt. Inst of Photog. Studied at Winona School of Prof. Photog and Triangle Instit. in Pgh. Later he became a teacher at both schools. His degrees in photography were Master, craftsman, CPP and certified judge. Ted was Mgr of Photog. Services for PPG Inds., Inc. His photos won numerous awards. One was selected by Kodak for display at Epcot Center at Disney World for six mos. Ted and his wife Gertrude (Doodie) Trimbur lived in Phoenix the last seven years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, to whom he had five children, Karl (Val), Ted (Roberta), Barbara Rice (Don), Tina Miller (Gary) and Kathy Hoffman (Ron) and four grandchildren. A memorial will be held June 8th at the Logos Center, 6401 E. Aster Dr., Scottsdale, AZ 85267.
