Jo Ann Cannedy
Jo Ann Cannedy was born on May 29, 1929 in Pasadena, California, daughter of Helen Bixby Bilbruck. She died November 19, 2012 at Carlinville Area Hospital at the age of 83. She married Dale Cannedy on September 13, 1947 and just celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary.
She was an Antique Dealer, Election Judge, and Census taker for many years. She was a Master Gardner, avid collector of junque, a member of the Macoupin County Military Support Group, Macoupin County Historical Society, Macoupin Antique Tractor Club, Crimson Chapeau Red Hat Society, and former Girl Scout Leader. Jo Ann also enjoyed sewing, quilting, flower gardening, and attending auctions and yard sales.
She is preceded in death by her mother, infant sister; Helen Victoria Bilbruck, brothers; George, Bill, Jack and Donnie Bilbruck.
She is survived by husband Dale, daughters; Betty Jo Noll, Becky Lowrance, and Melinda (Kerry) Huff, all of Carlinville, grandchildren; Milena (Lucas) Crum, Meghan Lowrance and Ryan Long of Springfield, great granddaughter Abella Long and 2 step grandchildren, sister Marjorie Thomason of Jacksonville, TX and brother Bob Bilbruck of Los Angeles, CA.
A Graveside service was held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
