      At his home March 31, 2011 surrounded by his loving family Arthur L. Dauenhauer 90, of Hamden. Beloved husband of Mary V. (Rafalowski) Dauenhauer. Loving father of Richard D. (Mary Ann) Dauenhauer of North Haven, Mary Ann (Charles) Chabot of Hamden and Joanne (Ralph) Cimino of Litchfield, brother of Therese VanderVeer of Woodbridge. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Amy (Ed) Sherer, Emily Dauenhauer, Natalie Chabot, Mike Dauenhauer, Justin Chabot and Stephanie Chabot. Predeceased by a brother Charles Dauenhauer. Arthur was born in West Haven April 13, 1920 son of the late Carl and Mary (Schaffer) Dauenhauer. Prior to his retirement he worked in the shipping department of Easton Industries. Mr. Dauenhauer served in the U.S. Air force during WWII doing submarine surveillance. The family would like to thank Christine Judd for her compassionate care given to Arthur and the staff of Vitas Hospice of Middlebury. His funeral will leave Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden Saturday at 11 :30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday (Today) from 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions to Vitas Hospice 1579 Straits Turnpike Unit C, Middlebury, CT. 06762.
