- Dorathea's parents lived on Willet Road in Whitehall (then Baldwin Township) when she was born. She attended Lafferty School off Churchview Ave. in then Baldwin Township through the eighth grade. She took piano lessons from Lizzy Bliss on Bliss Drive in now Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, which she traveled to by horse and buggy. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Oliver (Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania.
The following obituary was published in the September 19, 1989 edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
FOGARTY
Dorathea L., on Sunday, Sept. 17, 1989 of Baldwin Boro; wife of the late Frank Fogarty; mother of Emma Lou McKeeton, Audrey F. Johnson, Ruth M. Rollins and Lois F. Thomas; sister of Clara Gould; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Friends received at JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood, Mon. 7-9, Tues. 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Wed. at 1 p.m. If desired family suggests contributions to Concordia Lutheran Home, Cabot, PA.
