    • According to Roberta Donley-Bukowski (gb305@verizon.net), Augusta came to the United States in 1882 with her parents and four siblings. Two additional siblings were later born in the United States.

      The following obituary was published in the June 3, 1946 edition of The Pittsburgh Press:

      Mrs. Augusta Klemmer

      Solemn requiem high mass for Mrs. Augusta Klemmer, of 203 Herndon St., will be sung at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Martins Church, West End. She died in her home yesterday.

      Born in Germany, Mrs. Klemmer came to Pittsburgh in 1875.

      She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Edward Casey, Mrs. Edmund Goehring, Mrs. George Vater, Mrs. Roy Walters, Mrs. Charles Carmody, Mrs. Jack Rodgers and Elizabeth Klemmer, all of Pittsburgh; four sons, Fred of Chicago, Lee of New York City and Norbert and George of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Fred and Mark Butterbach, Pittsburgh, and Rev. Otto Butterbach, Little Ark; one sister, Mrs. August Just of Peru, Ill., and 16 grandchildren.

      Friends are being received at Staab's Funeral Home, 904 Chartiers Ave., Elliot. Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery.
