    • Bob flew with the 8th Air Force in WWII. He was stationed at Lonanham, England 487th Bomb Group commanded by Bernie Loy, Author of Twelve O'Clock High. Bob was a B17 pilot. He trained in Phoenix, Tucson Pecos, TX and Tampa, FL. He received his wings in Pecos, TX. Bob has an identical twin, Russel J. Cook.
