- The following obituary was published in the Tampa Bay (Florida) Times on August 22, 2012:
WALTER, Frederick G. 78, passed away Aug. 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos & Dorothy Walter; and brothers, William and Vaughn Walter. Fred is survived by his wife, Lola, of 23 years; his children, Kathleen Consentino, Kimberly Smiler-King, Karl Frederick Walter (Lisa), Keith Galen Walter; his step children, Jason Dicesare (Kim) and Jennifer DiCesare; his twelve grandchildren, Jessica, Valerie, Frederick, Alyssa, Alyvia, Alec, Brooke, Alexa, Brett, Madison, Karalyn, David; and siblings, Irvin Walter (Shirley), Carl Walter (Mary) and Patricia Mikolic (Joseph). Fred will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched. The family will receive friends 2-3 pm, with a memorial service at 3 pm, Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Stowers Funeral Home. www.stowersfh.com
