      Janice Johnson

      WEST FRANKFORT - Janice Johnson, 63, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

      She was born October 5, 1944, in Benton to Warren Cremer and Muriel (Moore) Cremer.

      She is survived by her husband, John B. "Jack" Johnson of West Frankfort; sons, Bill Hand of West Frankfort and Franklin Shane Cope of West Frankfort; daughters, Lori Hand of West Frankfort, Tabetha Olszewski and husband, Alex, of Asheville, N.C., and Sara Ridgeway and husband, Ryan, of Thompsonville; 10 grandchildren; mother, Muriel Cremer of West Frankfort; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and Scott Biggs, Carla and Gene Pulliam, Sally and John Odle and Mary Mell, all of West Frankfort; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kelly Cremer of West Frankfort; and step sister, Linda Songer and husband, Dan, of Paducah.

      She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Cremer; her loving step father, William Cremer; and her brother, David Cremer,

      Janice was a very gifted artist and an avid genealogist. She was also a real estate broker and a LPN.

      She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church.

      She enjoyed life and was very family oriented.

      Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008, in Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort. Burial will be in Tower Heights Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at the funeral home.

      Memorial contributions may be made to Benton Grade School 58, which services the mentally challenged of Franklin County and where Mrs. Johnson's daughter, Sara is employed.
