Barbara L. Geiger
Brackenridge
Barbara L. Geiger, 68, of Brackenridge, passed peacefully Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Family Hospice Manor, Pittsburgh. Barb was born April 28, 1940, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late John Brown (sic) and Martha Jane (McDonald) Johnson. She was a lifelong resident of the Valley area. She graduated from Ken High in 1958. Barb was a physical therapist at St. Francis Hospital until they closed, then at UPMC Montefiore hospital until she retired. She enjoyed camping, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She touched a lot of people's lives through her work and made lifelong friends. She is survived by a daughter, Traci Alworth, of Brackenridge; two sons, Todd (Sandy) Alworth and Bryan Geiger, both of Brackenridge; five grandchildren, Brooke, Lindsey, Tyler and Michael Alworth and Zachary Geiger; and a brother, Jack Johnson, of Illinois. Funeral and burial will be private. Arrangements by the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., family-owned and -operated for more than 60 years, 1509 5th Ave. Arnold, PA 15068.
