Martha Jane was the sister of Maud Pamela Montgomery's husband--Robert Boyd McDonald. That is, her brother married her and her husband's niece.

Martha Jane McDonald Johnson, 89, of Brackenridge, formerly of New Kensington, died Oct. 18, 2005.

Born Feb. 18, 1916, in New Kensington, she lived the majority of her life in the Valley Heights section of the city. The past five years she was a resident of Highland Center, Genesis Eldercare Network, Brackenridge.

She was the beloved mother of Barbara Geiger of Brackenridge, and Jack (Janice) Johnson of Illinois; grandmother of seven; and great-grandmother of 11; beloved sister of Bob McDonald of Washington (state), Helen McGregor, of Indiana, Pa., and Marie McDonald of Butler.

Her husband John B. "Moose" Johnson preceded her in death in 1981.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 until a 9 p.m. service Friday in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
