- The 1930 Census shows a Percy W. Carrington living in West View, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his wife Mabel, born 1889, and two children--Richard, born 1927, and Phyllis J., born 1928. That this is Mabel F. Edgar and her husband is highly likely, but needs to be confirmed.
According to his brother-in-law Robert's obituary, Mr. Carrington and his wife lived in Greencastle, Pennsylvania in 1962.
Information regarding Percy and his family and descendants was obtained from http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~carringtons/pafg13.htm#341 in 2009. This source will not be repeated. According to this site, Percy was previously married to Winnifred Claudia Taun, with whom he had one child--Richard.
The following obituary was published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on December 25, 1953:
PERCY W. CARRINGTON
Funeral services for Percy W. Carrington, an auditor for 35 years with International Harvester Company, will be held at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow in the Edward T. Daugherty Funeral Home, 366 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, with burial in Union Dale Cemetery. Mr. Carrington, who lived at 1441 Lincoln Way, McKeesport, died Wednesday in McKeesport Hospital. A native of Iowa, he lived in the PIttsburgh district for the past 26 years and formerly resided in Allison Park. Mr. Carrington was an elder of the Glenshaw Presbyterian Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mabel Edgar Carrington; a daughter, Mrs. Rudolf Wertime, of Greencastle, Pa; a son, Richard C. Carrington, of California, and one grandchild.
