MRS. P.W. CARRINGTON
GREENCASTLE - Mrs. Mabel E. Carrington, R.R. 3, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at the Travclodge in Springfield, Ohio.
Mrs. Carrington traveled to Springfield with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolf M. Wertimo, Greencastle, to attend the graduation of Timothy Wertime from Wittenberg University Sunday.
She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Robert and Estella Davis Edgar. She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring of Chambersburg. Her husband, Percy W. Carrington, died in 1953. Mrs. Carrington lived in the Greencastle area since 1953.
Surviving in addition to her daughter. Mrs. Phyllis Wertime, are a son, Richard Carrington, Newville, and six grandchildren.
The service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Falling Spring Presbyterian Chapel, Chambersburg, conducted by the Rev. Donald H. Spencer. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Uniondalc Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
At the request of Mrs. Carrington, the casket will not be open.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church organ fund. Arrangements are in charge of the Harold M. Zimmerman Funeral Home.
