The following obituary was published in the May 22, 1950 edition of The Daily Republican (Monongahela, Pennsylvania):

HENRY A. GRABE

Henry A. Grabe, aged 86 years, died Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock at his home in Ginger Hill, Fallowfield Township. The deceased was born May 4, 1864 at Braddock.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie Carolyn Grabe; four daughters, Viola Steelman, at home, Mrs. Stella Krebs of West View, Mrs. Lillian Leechford of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Helen Haberland of Florida; five grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

Friends are being received at the late home where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock by the Reverend O. C. Metzger, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Monongahela. Interment will take place in Mr. Zion cemetery.
