    • The following death notice was published in the Pittsburgh Press on December 28, 1919:

      MRS. EMMA S. CARMELL (sic)

      Mrs. Emma Stolte Carmell, aged 46, died in Homestead hospital of pneumonia, Friday. She was born on the Southside and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Stolte, Pittsburg. She was a member of the Homestead Lutheran church. She is survived by her husband, Fred Carmell, a son, Fred Edward Carmell, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Trace, and two brothers, Federick E. Stolte and Edward Stolte, New York.



      The following death notice was published in the Pittsburgh Daily Post on December 28, 1919:

      CARNELL (sic), EMMA C.--At the Homestead Hospital, on Friday evening, December 26, 1919, at 8:45 o'clock, Emma C. Stolte Carnell, beloved wife of Fred Carnell (sic).

      Services at her late home, 217 East Ninth avenue, Homestead, on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Homestead cemetery.
