The following obituary appeared in The Pittsburgh Press on April 13, 1958:
BLANSETT--On Friday, April 11, 1958, Minnie D., aged 78 years, beloeved wife of William L. Blansett of 2941 Brownsville Rd.; mother of William L. Jr.; also survived by two grandchldren. Friends received at John H Slater Sons Whitehall Funeral Home, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood, from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. Funeral Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment South Side Cemetery.
