    • According to the 1930 Census, David and his wife Clara were living with their daughter Caroline E. (age 9) in Greensburg, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania in 1930.

      According to his WW II Draft Registration Card (dated approximately 1942), David was born on July 7, 1894, he was married to Clara L., he lived at 222 South Fifth St., Jeannette, Pennsylvania, and he worked for the Singer Sewing Maching Company out of their offices in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.

      The following obituary was published in the January 13, 1954 edition of the Greensburg Daily Tribune:

      David B. Johnson

      David Byers Johnson, 59 years old, of 118 East Third street, Derry, stock superintendent of the Westmoreland Supply Company, died of a heart attack at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon while at work at the company store in East Otterman street here.

      Mr. Johnson was a member of the Methodist Church of Derry. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel Allison Johnson, and a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Wineman, of Washington, D.C. Also surviving are two grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Ella Jane Johnson of North Side, PIttsburgh; a brother, also of Pittsburgh, and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Skidmore, of Crestline, O.

      Friends are being received at the Fisher Funderal Home in Derry where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with Rev. G. W. Cox. Interment will be in Brush Creek cemetery.
