- According to Robert's brother Harry's obituary, Robert lived in Blairsville in 1920.
According to the 1920 Census, Robert G. Johnson, age 49 (b. abt. 1871), lived with his wife Elsie, age 42, their two daughters, Roberta, age 17, Margaret, age 16, his mother-in-law, Annie B. George, age 69, and his brother-in-law, age 46. Robert was a plumber.
According to the 1930 Census, Robert G. Johnson, age 59 (b. abt. 1871), lived with his wife Elsie, age 52, their two daughters, Roberta, age 27, Margaret, age 26, and his brother-in-law, James, age 58. Robert was a plumber.
According to the 1940 census, Robert and Elsie lived in Blairsville, Indiana Co., Pennsylvania, next door to their daughter Margaret and her husband, William Bronson.
According to an obituary published in the Indiana Evening Gazette of Indiana Co., Pennsylvania, on August 2, 1961:
"Robert G. Johnson of 241 E. Market Street, Blairsville, died at 11 p.m. August 1, 1961, in the Indiana Hospital.
He was born in Pittsburgh, August 14, 1871, son of John and Hannah Byers Johnson. He had been a plumber in Blairsville for more than 60 years and retired in 1951. He was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, and the L.O.O.M.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. William (Margaret) Bronson of Falls Church, Va. One daughter, Mrs Roberta Swope preceded her father in death, and his wife Elsie George Johnson died in January 1961.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the J. Freeman Ferfuson and Son Funeral Home, Blairsville where services will be held Friday, August 4, at 3 p.m. The Rev. James M. Robbins wil officiate and interment wil follow in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana."
