Notes |
- According to a handwritten "family tree" obtained from Corrine Farmin, daughter of Emma Johnson Farmin, in 2009, Hannah C. Davis married John Johnson on September 11, 1866. (Note: It was originally assumed that Hannah was the wife of John's brother, Henry (Harry) Johnson. This assumption has been discarded based on this "family tree". The database now shows Hannah to be the wife of John.) The family tree shows John and Hannah to have had four children: Brownlee, Robert, and twins Harry and Lillian, born August 27, 1867. This source is believed to be accurate.
According to the 1880 census, Eliza Johnston lived with with a daughter-in-law, Hannah Johnston (age 35). John had died in 1873, so Hannah and their children were living with their mother and grandmother in 1880. The children were: Lilly (13), Harry R. (13), Brownlee (10) and Robert (8).
According to the 1900 census, Hannah (spelled Hanna in the census) was living with her daughter Lillian (spelled Lellia in the census) and her family (her husband William and children William, Russell (spelled Russel in the census) and Benjamin in Steubenville, Jefferson Co., Ohio.
