- Louis lived in Pittsburgh at the time he signed his WW I draft registration card in 1918. His wife Else is shown as his nearest relative. Louis lived in Chevy Chase, Montgomery Co., Maryland at the time he signed his WW II draft registration card in 1942. His wife is not listed as his nearest relative, so she may have died by 1942.
According to the 1930 census, Louis and his family were living on Arlington Ave. in Pittsburgh. Louis Sr., age 77, was living with his son.
According to the 1940 census, Louis (age 59) and his wife Elsie (age 58) were living on Suncrest Ave. in the Knoxville neighorhood of Pittsburgh with their sons Arthur (age 28) and Robert (age 18).
