Jean Helen Young, 82, of Mendota passed away peacefully Oct. 3, 2012, in Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minn., after a long, brave battle with cancer.Â
A private graveside service will be on the morning of Oct. 20. It will be followed by a public “Time of Remem-brance” for Jean from 2:30-4 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Mendota. The family requests that friends and relatives bring photos and memories to share. A funeral service to celebrate Jean’s life will follow at 4 p.m., followed by a meal at the church.Â
She was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Mendota to William Joseph and Clara Atheda Widmer.Â
