  • Notes
    • According to a handwritten "Family Record", probably from a family Bible, obtained from Emma Johnson Farmin, and a related "Family Tree," Robert was born on December 15, 1853 and died on July 23, 1868. These sources are generally believed to be accurate and will be relied upon unless other sources require a different conclusion.

Robert was buried in 1868 in a plot in Union Dale Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, owned by Brownlee Johnson. It appears that Franklin Johnson, who was buried in 1925, was buried in the same grave.
