- When she was 90 in 2011, Pat traveled to Alaska with her daughter Joyce. With that trip, Pat visited all 50 states during her lifetime.

Patricia M. Alexander, 92, of Bettendorf, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at UnityPoint-Trinity in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at First Evangelical Free Church, 3321 7th Street in Moline, IL. Visitation will be Monday from 10 am until the service, at the church. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association . Online condolences may be left atwww.rungemortuary.com.
Patricia was born December 7, 1921 in Chicago; the daughter of Theron Lucien and Ruth (Woodburn) Young. She was united in marriage to Charles "Chuck" Alexander on November 27, 1951 in Chicago; he preceded her in death on September 17, 2008. Earlier in life, she had been a teacher in the Chicago school system, retiring in 1968. She was a member of the First Evangelical Church in Moline and was a very active volunteer in Dixon, IL where she had resided for a number of years. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Joyce (George) Hesse, Bettendorf; grandchildren: Laura (Grant) McCaulley, Bettendorf; Eric (Rachel) Hesse, Chicago and Elizabeth Hesse and her fiancé Kevin Scheutz, Oklahoma City, OK; great grandchildren, Luke and Rachel McCaulley, Bettendorf.
