The following obituary was published in the May 13, 1943 edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
Emil Dauenhauer
Funeral services for Emil Dauenhauer, 67, vice president of Eichleay Engineering Corporation, will be held tomorrow afternoon at Beinhauer's Mortuary, 2630 West Liberty avenue. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.
Mr. Dauenhauer, who lived at 2851 Glenmore avenue, Dormont, died Tuesday. He had been associated with the Eichleay company for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church, Monongehela Lodge No. 269, F & A. M., and various other Masonic organizations. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minna A. Schaefer Dauenhauer; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Dickhaut, of Dayton, O.; a son, Wesley E. Dauenhauer; three brothers, Louis A., Albert P., and Walter J. Dauenhauer, all of Pittsburgh, and three grandchildren.
