- According to Mrs. Richard Dauenhauer Massey (b. 1921), in a letter dated January 6, 2004, her great grandmother was named Karolina Louise Green. Karolina Louise was married to Gustav Dauenhauer (b. November 8, 1845). Initially, the working assumption was that Karolina Louise was the sister of Jacob George Greene (b. December 6, 1843) ) and that Jacob George Green's wife, Louisa Dauenhauer (b. May 10, 1850), was the sister of Gustav Dauenhauer, who was the wife of Karolina Louise.
This information appears to be incorrect. Carolina's surname appears to have been Waltz or Wentz.
