    • Birth date verified on death certificate. Death data death certificate. He was christened Albert Martin by his own parents. After he was adopted he went by the name of Albert, so Martin Albert, born 18 Sep 1880, went by the name of Mar tin. Entry from James Henry Clinger's missionary journal, dated 21 Aug 1885: "H elping the Saints to get their boxes marked and everything in order. Went to t he depot to meet Albert and his mother. I packed his things and marked them re ady to go. Went to the steamboat docks. The Saints went on board at 4:30. Al bert cried to leave his mother. There was a man went and got a policeman and t ried to take the boy back but did not succeed." For the emigration of Albert M.
