- According to Janet Houston Rhein, 3010 Dick Wilson Drive, Sarasota, FL 34240; email: janrhein@worldnet.att.net, James came from Garvagh, Co. Londonderry, N. Ireland. He became a U.S. Citizen on September 3, 1871 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania. He and his wife Ellen visited Garvagh in 1876, at a time when he may not have been in the best of health.
