    • The following obituary was published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on May 20, 1959:

      WILLIAM A. FARMIN
      William A. Farmin, 62, of Breading Avenue, Ben Avon, died Monday In Allegheny General Hospital a short time after suffering a heart attack at work. Mr. Farmin had been employed by the Atlantic Refining Company for 42 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Ren Avon Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Emma Johnson Farmin; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hurray, of Gibsonia and Helen Corinne Farmin, at home; one son, William J. Farmin, of Ben Avon, and three sisters, Mrs. Crawford Miller, of Titusville, and Mrs. Arthur Wilher and Mrs. William Mitchell, both of Pittsburgh. Friends are being received at the McDonald Funeral Home, 529 California Avenue, Avalon, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at. 2 p. m. Burial will follow in Lakeworth Memorial Cemetery.

      According to his grave marker, William served in WW I in the Pennsylvania - Co C 324 FLD SIG BN.
