Pioneer Woman Succumbs at 98
Mrs. Lydia Ann Feavel Came to Shiocton by Ox Team 67 Years Ago
Mrs. Lydia Ann Feavel, 98, 415 Summer street, who came with her parents from Illinois to Shiocton by oxen 67 years ago, died at 10:30 Sunday morning at her home after a week's illness.
She was born March 3, 1842, in Hancock county, Ill. She resided at Appleton the last 55 years. Mrs. Feavel was a member of the Latter Day Saints church.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Con Lockery, Brooklyn, Wis.; four sons, George and Oliver, Appleton; Bert, Milwaukee; Thomas, Fremont, one brother, George Helser, Beloit, one sister, Mrs. Martha Locy, Kaukauna; 24 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Wichmann Funeral home with Rev. Williard Hield of Green Bay in charge. Burial wil be in Bovina cemetery at Shiocton. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
