      Her life sketch states she was born in Springfield, Ill., where she lived with her parents, Adolphus Chapin and Katherine Billings, until 1843 when the family moved to Nauvoo. She was baptized a member of the Church in Nauvoo. She and her her husband joined the Josephites and and went to Malad, Idaho and then to Nebraska with their family except their 2 oldest children. They realized their mistake, returned to Utah, and 4 July 1880 she was rebaptized by James Cobbley and reconfirmed by Thomas Woolley. RLDS Records, Columbus, Neb. Branch: Received by letter 27 Aug 1868; bapt 28 Jun 1869; removed by certificate 29 Mar 1874.
