- According to the 1920 census, William and his sister Barbara were living as "roomers" with Charles H. Brown in Chicago, Illinois.
According to the 1930 census, a William Woodburn was living with his wife Marguerite and their daughter Marcia in St. Charles, Illinois. It is assumed that this is Barbara's brother because she was living in the same town, but this needs to be confirmed.
According to the Social Security Death Index, William was born on July 31, 1900.
The following obituary appeared in The Tampa Times on September 23, 1975:
WOODBURN
SUN CITY CENTER -William D. Woodburn, age 75, of 1101 Beach Blvd., Sun City Center passed away Sept. 20 in a Bradenton Hospital. He is a native of Chicago, IIl. and resided resided in Sun City 10 years, coming here from Bronxville, N. Y. A member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church. He served on the Emergency Squad of Sun City Center, also belonged to the Lawn Bowling Team and Golfing Association and he served on the Vestry of St. John's Church. He is survived survived by his wife, Marguerite, Sun City Center; 1 daughter, Mrs. Stanley Hirschfield, Massapequa, N.Y.; 1 niece, Jean Woods, Salem, Oregon: 3 grandchildren: Scott, Keith and Greg Hirschfield, Salem, Oregon. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, morning, 10:30 a.m. at the Lewers and Shannon Funeral Home Chapel. Ruskin, with Father Anthony W. Van Ham, Rector of St. John's the Divine Episcopal Church officiating. The family asks in lieu of flowers make contributions to Sun City Center Emergency Squad. Cremation will be final disposition.
