Louis R. Leventry
LEVENTRY – Louis R., 86, Southmont, died Oct. 13, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 30, 1922, in Johnstown, son of the late Rex and Katheryn (Ashcom) Leventry. Survived by wife of 58 years, Joan Miltenberger; children: David, married to former Karen Perkins, Summerhill; Kathy Zindel, Dade City, Fla.; and Helen, married to Jack Carroll, Carlisle; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Joan Markle, Davidsville. Member of Grove Avenue United Methodist Church and numerous Masonic lodges including Greater Johnstown Lodge 538. Also a 50-year member of Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Pa. Former engineer of Crane Co. and retired engineer from Bethlehem Steel. World War II Army veteran. Friends received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Arnold McFarland. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
