Notes

According to W. Thomas Hall, P.O. Box395, Kailua Hawaii 96734, pali@hgea.org, Rebecca received an engineering degree from Dickinson College, Pennsylvania in 1865. She later became a coal mine engineer in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.

According to the obituary of her mother, Elizabeth Souder, in the November 30, 1900 edition of the Bedford Gazette, Rebecca was living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1900. Her mother died there after falling and breaking her thigh.

According to her death certificate, Rebecca was born on September 20, 1845.
