Notes |
- Harry was originally buried in a plot with John S/G(?) Johnson. He was moved to a plot owned by his wife, Ella, on December 1, 1949. We are assuming that Harry was Harry Johnson's son, although he could have been John's or Robert's son. This needs to be confirmed.
The following obituary was published in the March 27, 1920 edition of the Pittsburgh Daily Post:
HARRY R. JOHNSON, SR.

Mr. Johnson entered the wall paper business as an errand boy for an Allegheny firm and later became a traveling salesman. He lived in Allegheny until 13 years ago, when he moved to Avalon. He was married in 1891 to Ella J. Byers of old Allegheny. He leaves his wife, two sons, Harry R., Jr., of Avalon and David B. Johnson of Altoona; one daughter, Mrs. J.A.
