    • Harry was originally buried in a plot with John S/G(?) Johnson. He was moved to a plot owned by his wife, Ella, on December 1, 1949. We are assuming that Harry was Harry Johnson's son, although he could have been John's or Robert's son. This needs to be confirmed.

      The following obituary was published in the March 27, 1920 edition of the Pittsburgh Daily Post:

      HARRY R. JOHNSON, SR.

      Harry R. Johnson, 52 years old, a well-known wall paper man of Pittsburgh, died yesterday in his home in Center avenue, Avalon. Mr. Johnson entered the wall paper business as an errand boy for an Allegheny firm and later became a traveling salesman. He lived in Allegheny until 13 years ago, when he moved to Avalon. He was married in 1891 to Ella J. Byers of old Allegheny. He leaves his wife, two sons, Harry R., Jr., of Avalon and David B. Johnson of Altoona; one daughter, Mrs. J.A. Skidmore of Avalon; two brothers, Bromlee [sic] of New Kensington and Robert Johnson of Blairsville; one sister, Mrs. L.M. Butler of Avalon, and two grandchildren.


      The following Death Notice and Death Record in the March 27, 1920 edition of the Pittsburg Press:

      Johnson--On Friday, March 26, 1920 at 5:58 p.m., Harry R. Johnson, Sr., in his 53rd year, beloved husband of Ella J. Johnson (nee Byers) at his home 667 Center ave., Avalon, Pa. Funeral services at his late residence on Monday, March 29 at 12:30 p.m. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend.

      Harry R. Johnson, Sr., aged 53, died yesterday at his home, 667 Center Ave., Avalon. Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Harry R. Johnson, Jr., Avalon; David B. Johnson, Altoona; a daughter, Mrs. J.A. Skidmore, Pittsburg; two brothers, B.L. Johnson, New Kensington, and Robert G. Johnson, Blairsville, and a sister, Mrs. J.M. Butler, Avalon.
