- Margaret appears to have remarried. According to the 1930 census, Margaret and her children, Charles and Margaret, were living with her husband William E. Allen in Ivy, Albemarle Co., Virginia in 1930.
The following obituary was published in the Washington Post (Washington, D.C.) on March 9, 1960:
ALLEN, MARGARET C. On Monday, March 7, 1960, at her residence, Baltimore, Md., MARGARET C. ALLEN, beloved wife of the late Rev. William E. Allen, mother of William E. and Robert C. Allen, Charles G. Ashcom and Mrs. Margaret A. Anderson. She also is survived by four sisters and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the Ritchie Bros. Funeral Home, Upper Marlboro, Md. Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Croom, Md., on Thursday, March 10, at 11 a.m. Interment Church Cemetery.
