LEHMAN
Vaughn Leyshon Lehman, 82, of Frederick, MD, passed from this life on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Frederick, MD. He was the beloved husband of Mary Carole (Coughenour) formerly of Berlin. Born on June 2, 1936 in Berlin, son of Glenn Paul Lehman and Helen Orcelia (Swope) Lehman. After high school, Vaughn moved to the Washington DC area where he took a job at Acacia Mutual Life Insurance. Shortly after, he married Mary from his hometown of Berlin. They were married for 61 years. They raised four daughters in Adelphi, MD where they lived for 42 years before moving to Frederick, MD. In his teenage years Vaughn was a caddy at Somerset Country Club. He also loved to hunt and fish. Vaughn worked for Acacia Mutual Life Insurance for 37 years as an underwriter. He bowled many years for the Acacia bowling league as well as played on their softball league. His other outside passions were shooting pool, hunting, traveling and being surrounded by his family and friends. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. A jokester to the core, he was always the life of the party. His humor, work ethic and commitment to family were legendary. In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters: Doni Lin Rosanova (Michael) of Sykesville, MD, Laurie Jo Speiden (Leith) of Brookeville, MD, Kelly Dee Blalock (Steve Harr) of York, PA and Lu Ann Dodson (Bobby) of Crofton, MD; 10 grandchil- dren: Christina Vettori, Joanna Dash, Danielle Hill, Garrett Speiden, Russell Speiden, Samantha Bouey, Georgiana Blalock, Caroline Blalock, Ryan McCombs and Jennifer McCombs; seven great grandchildren: Liliana, Vincent, Gianna, Santino, Cameron, Chase and Hannah and two brothers: Rene’ Swope Lehman and Glenn Paul Lehman, both of Woodbridge, VA. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Sam Coughenour officiating. Interment Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick Co., 516 Trail Ave., Frederick, MD 21702 or Abundant Life Christian Center, 309 Plank Rd., Berlin, PA 15530.
