Notes

Richard graduated from the University of Delaware in 1957 and from Yale Law School in 1960. He was a long-time partner at the firm of Morris Nichols Arsht & Tunnell LLP, a prominent Delaware law firm. Sutton joined Morris, Nichols in 1961 after clerking for U.S. District Court Judge and former Morris partner Ed Steel. Prior to that, during the summer after his first year at Yale Law School, Sutton had worked at the Morris firm.
