Carolyn Herrle
March 19, 1931 - May 2, 2017
Keizer - Carolyn Mary (Griffith) Herrle was born on March 19, 1931 in Portland, OR to Carroll L. Griffith and Hilda Hamaker and passed away on May 2, 2017 in Keizer, OR. She graduated from Portland's Jefferson High School in 1949 and worked in Portland until her marriage. She married Emmett H. Herrle in 1955 and moved to Anchorage, Alaska where they raised their family until Emmett's death in 1970. She moved her family back to Oregon and resided in the Salem/Keizer area for many years. Carolyn worked for the Oregon Bank until her retirement in 1987. She is survived by her children and their families: Kevin Herrle, Timothy Herrle (Denise), Joseph Herrle (Jena), Mary Herrle, Anna Herrle-Bradshaw (Jim), Sandy Herrle-Hartzog (Jim), her grandchildren, her great-grandson, her nephews and their families. She was a friendly, caring and loving person, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to OPB or the Oregon Humane Society. Assisting the family is Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.Published in
