Heat Kills One Man; Mercury 98 in Shade

The intense heat cost one man his life. Thomas Naracong, 36, of 353 Jefferson Avenue, Canandaigua, died in the City Hospital about 2 o'clock this morning from heat prostration.

A lineman in the employ of the Western Union Company, he had been working in the sun all day on lines between Auburn and Seneca Falls and was overcome late in the afternoon. He was rushed to the local hospital about 5 o'clock and expired some nine hours later, in spite of heroic efforts on the part of attending physicians.
