Myra Rodgers, CDP
Sister Myra Rodgers entered religious life from St. Martin parish in Pittsburgh’s West End.
Sister Myra oversees all things relating to the image, mission, and values of the province. She assists in orientation of personnel hired at Providence Heights and Community-sponsored ministries. She also collaborates with the Mission Advancement staff to ensure that the image, mission, and values of the Community are furthered in print, on the Community’s website, and in other social media.
She was general superior for the Congregation of Divine Providence in the dioceses of Rome, Italy (1995–99) and Providence, RI (1999–2007). She was special assistant to the president for mission and ministry and adjunct teacher, religious studies, at La Roche College (2008–09), liturgist for the Marie de la Roche province/Kingston, Ma. (2011), and director of liturgy and music/coordinator of mission advancement for the Marie de La Roche province (2012). She is the current coordinator of mission integration for the province.
Sister Myra says, “I believe in the mission of our congregation—to be the face of God’s Providence. The strength and enthusiasm of my Sisters as they strive to live our mission, sustains and challenges me.”
