    • The following obituary was published in Carbon Valley Farmer & Miner (Broomfield, Colorado) on Feb. 6, 2013:

      Mary Windler

      Mary Windler, of Broomfield, passed away peacefully Jan. 29, 2013. She was born in Turtle Creek, Pa., one of 12 children. She moved to Tucson, Ariz., and married Ralph Emerson in 1949, who preceded her in death. In 1968, she married Alfred Windler of Broomfield, where they resided until his death in 2009. 

      Mary is survived by her five sons, Carey (Sharon), John (Kathy), Gary (Teri), Jim and Bob; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, and the memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Olinger Highland, 10201 Grant St., Thornton.
