      Ruth Young Moore0

      Ruth Young Moore, 88, formerly of White Oak and McKeesport, died
      Friday, March 30, 2007, in the Golden Living Center, Shippenville,
      where she had been a resident for two and one half years.
      Born Nov. 6, 1918, in Avalon, she was the daughter of Harry and Nellie
      Welsh Young.

      Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of Linway United Presbyterian Church
      where she served as an elder and in various groups.
      She also was active in the McKeesport Hospital Ladies Guild, Daughters
      of the American Revolution, Meals on Wheels and the White Oak Civic
      Society.

      Mrs. Moore had been a Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and domestic arts.

      Mrs. Moore was married to Joseph Moore, who died in October 2004. Surviving are two sons, Timothy Owen Moore and wife, Gerry, of Apple
      Valley, Minn. and Terrence Joseph Moore and wife, Susan, of Lucinda;
      eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

      She also is survived by four sisters, Grace Geyer and Olive Davies,
      both of Monroeville, Martha Stockton of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mary
      Windler of Colorado; a brother, Hugh Young and wife, Louise, of North
      Versailles; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

      In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Moore was preceded in
      death by a son, Ronald Francis Moore; three sisters, Nellie Seiple,
      Flora Kundman and Mildred Jones; and three brothers, Harry, William
      and Ralph.

      Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in
      Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services Inc., Lincoln
      Way, White Oak, 15131.

      Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Linway United Presbyterian
      Church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.

      Remembrances may be made to Linway United Presbyterian Church, 600
      Greensburg Road, North Versailles, 15137.
