Maureen Rives Nolan
July 18, 1915 - May 18, 2006
Maureen Rives Nolan, age 90, of Austin, formerly of Ft. Stockton died Thursday, May 18, 2006. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas and raised in Kerrville and Ingram.
Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Adelia Rives Morrison Nolan and Ross Morrison; two sisters, Freda Gipson and Doris Railsback; two brothers, L.J. and Jack Nolan niece, Phyllis Gurley and nephew Marvin Wynne.
She is survived by her niece, Lyndsay Payne and husband, Alan and their children, Tyler and Kelsey Payne of Austin; great niece, Peggy Corbett and husband Hal and their children, Jonathan, Joanna and Aaron of Tuba City, AZ; great nephew, Bill and wife Tonya Shuttleworth and their children Billy Wayne, Michael, Christopher and Nicholas of Ft. Stockton and great nephew, Roger and wife Cindy Hefner and their children Jeremy, Brittany and Amanda.
Maureen was a gift to all who knew her. She had the sweetest, kindest and most generous spirit. She always had a cheerful attitude, loved to play the harmonica and would happily sing any hymn by heart to brighten the days of others.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home..
Graveside services will be held on Sunday at East Hill Cemetery in Ft. Stockton
The family would like to thank the residents and staff of Monte Siesta Retirement Center and her friends at Odyssey Hospice Health Care for all their love and kindness.
