- The following obituary appeared in the September 10, 1979 edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
Mryon Harris, Postal Employee
Mryon Harris, 46, a former postal employee, died yesterday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oakland.
Mr. Harris of 3042 Beechwood Blvd., Squirrel Hill, had worked for 19 years at the Downtown branch of the U.S. Postal service until his illness 11 years ago.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of Jewish War Veterans Post 49. He is survived by his parents, Henry and Rose Harris, and a brother, Ralph Alan of San Francisco.
Friends will be received one hour before 2 p.m. services tomorrow at the Burton L. Hirsch Chapel, 2704 Murray Ave., Squirrel Hill.
Burial will be in the Sons of Israel Cemetery, Rankin.
