Fawn
Shirley L. Mikesell Johnson, 70, of Fawn died Tuesday (April 9, 2002) in Life Care Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born March 30, 1932, in New Kensington, she lived in the Valley all of her life.
Mrs. Johnson was a book-keeper at Alcoa and at Whitaker Book Distributors.
She was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, New Kensington, where she was active in the AWANA Ministries.
Mrs. Johnson enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grand- children and caring for her pets.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Cecil H. Johnson; four daughters, Cindy H. Murray of New Kensington, Mrs. Debby L. (Steven) Hansen of Verona, Mrs. Cathy M. (Timothy) Chlebina of Lower Burrell and Mrs. Diane K. (Eric) Wissner of Sharpsburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary (John) Waszkiewicz of New Kensington and Jennie Rich of Springdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. and Florence Mae Davis Mikesell; and a brother, Charles Mikesell.
She also is survived by eight grandchildren, Rachel Murray, Philip and Nathan Hansen, Timothy, Christopher, Daniel and Matthew Chlebina and Nevin Wissner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Maranatha Bible Church, 615 Carl Ave., New Kensington. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
