Brother of Orem Residents Dies in S.L.
Salt Lake City - Norman Lynn Murie, 56, Salt Lake City, brother of two Orem residents, died in a Salt Lake hospital Wednesday of natural causes.
He was born Sept. 4, 1912, in Louisville, Colo., a son of George W. and Edith Cook Murie. He married Melva Lois Wright on Jan. 7, 1961, in Elko, Nev.
Mr. Murie was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow of Salt Lake City; nine step-children; 32 step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, and three brothers and one sister, David W. Murie, Corona, Calif.; Melvin P. Murie, Salt Lake City, and Wilbur C. Murie and Mrs. William (Eloise) Lucas, both of Orem.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary, 2128 S. State St., Salt Lake City, where friend may call from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates.
