    • The following obituary was published on the website of Kearns Funderal Home in Whitehouse, New Jersey (http://kearnsfuneralhome.com/obituary_view/2011-08-harry-w-koval/82608?print=1) and available in 2013:

Harry W. Koval, 79, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died after a short illness Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, N.J.

Harry was born on September 25th 1931 and resided in Pittsburgh, PA for 40 years, prior to moving to NJ. He resided in North Plainfield for 25 years and was a resident of Whitehouse Station for the past 15 years.

Harry was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. After serving his country proudly, he became a successful sales executive for General Industrial Diamond Company in Whippany, NJ for over 21 years.

When Harry met his wife, Jean, he became a convert and decided to become a faithful Catholic and active participant of the church (Our Lady of Lourdes) until his dying day. Besides being married to his beloved wife, Jean of 56 years, Harry's true passion was rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, watching golf, and playing on his gameboy. Harry was also the storyteller and the joke teller of the family. Whenever Harry had the chance to make people laugh, he made it count.

When Harry wasn't entertaining the crowd, he was always a shoulder to lean on and a helping hand for any of his children, grandchildren, friends and of course, his wife. Harry was loved by many and will sadly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Jean (nee) Bertha; his five children, Mark Koval and his wife, Nancy; Sandra Mastroianni and her husband, Michael; William Koval and his wife, Lisa; Donna Savino and Bill; Jeannine Dunne and her husband, George; his ten grandchildren, Stacy and Jason Basara, Brian Koval, Jamie Mastroianni, Lauren Koval, Christina and Marisa Savino, Danielle Mastroianni, Courtney and Rachel Dunne, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

In lieu of flowers, Harry's family requests donations to be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 Route 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
