- According to WFT, v. 6, No. 2952, he became a U.S. citizen on July 20, 1896. His sister-in-law Bessie hated him and would not talk to him. He was an alcoholic and a philanderer, he was abusive and his family was dysfunctional. He died of cardiac arrest.
