Arthur L. McLaughlin,
Candidate for Judge
Attorney Arthur L. McLaughlin, Jr., has issued the following statement regarding his candidacy for nomination to the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas:
"Having represented various members of labor organizations, individually and collectively, since my admission to the Bar in 1922, along with a general law practice in all Courts, I believe I am now qualified by experience, ability and temperament to interpret the laws of this Commonwealth.
"At the instance of friends and clients in both major parties, I have, after mature deliberation, decided to submit my name to the public for consideration for the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County in both primaries, and I promise to conduct myself in that office with the same fidelity and sincerity as I have in my private practice, without favor or prejudice to anyone."
Arthur L. McLaughlin, Jr., was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on August 21, 1898. He was graduated from Peabody High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh during 1917-18. In 1919 he entered Duques-ne University, receiving his LL.B. degree in 1922. He was admitted to the Allegheny County Bar on October 9, 1922.
