      KLEIN
      AUGUST NICHOLAS "GUS"
      Age 73, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Pittsburgh, on Sunday, October 3, 2004, son of August and Blanche (Savecka) Klein; born October 18,1930 in Pittsburgh. Gus served as a Radio Operator during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound and as a Lector. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Gus will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years, Caroline; daughters Carrie (Chris) Bright, Winchester, VA and Mary Crowe, Port Charlotte, FL; sons, Gus Klein of Sarasota, FL, Al (Beverly) Klein, Cape Coral, FL, Ed (Janet) Klein, Pittsburgh, PA, Mike (Donna) Klein of Port Charlotte and Peter (Mary) Klein of Finlay, OH; sister, Catherine Klein of Pittsburgh; also 15 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Walter. A Memorial Mass was held in St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church, Pt. Charlotte, FL, with Father Gerard Austin officiating. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Maximillian Kolbe Church, 1441 Spear St., Pt. Charlotte, FL 33948. To express condolences to the family, please visit www.
